Saladmaster mashed potatoes
Using the 3 QT with culinary basket to make mashed potatoes. First, always start off by putting about an inch to inch and a half of water in the bottom of your 3 QT. I take my finger and place it in the water and if it covers my fingernail then I have enough water. You just don't want the water to end up in your basket. Next take your Saladmaster machine and cut your potatoes directly into your culinary basket. The number two cone works great. But it does not matter which cone you cut them on they will all mash the same. Next take the culinary basket out and take it to the sink and squeeze in rents the starch out of your potatoes. Next put the culinary basket back into the 3 Qt and place them on your stove top on medium high temperature. Which is halfway between medium and high usually number six or seven. With potatoes and corn on the cob you will always start on medium high. When it begins to click you will let it click solid for at least one minute, or until it stops clicking and air is shooting straight out from the vapo valve. Then turn to low. And let it cook for 20 to 25 minutes. Enjoy!!
